Plotly is awesome to plot interactive graphics. One of the interesting features is the hover text that appears. You can change this hover text with the hoverinfo option. Any combination of “x”, “y”, “z”, “text”, “name” joined with a “+” OR “all” or “none” is available. If you give “text” to the hoverinfo option, you have to fill the text argument, where you give the text for each point. If you are using plotly through the ggplotly facility, read this article to learn how to custom hovertext.
